Sharon Mae Alexander

Sharon Mae Alexander passed away on Sunday, April 8th, 2012 in Montague at the home of her daughter Laura, from complications of Alzheimers.

She was born in Grants Pass, Oregon on June 23rd, 1930 to Henry and Coradine Spicer.

Since the mid-seventies she was a resident of Scott Valley. There Sharon loved to work in her yard and garden and raise flowers. She had a wide variety of interests and enjoyed reading her book collection. She also loved being on the local bowling league.

She is survived by her brother Charles "Chuck" (Marilyn) Spicer of Chiloquin, OR. She also leaves behind her children John Hancock of Fairfield, CA, Michael (Jeannette) Hancock of Hilo, HI, Charlene Buckley of Jefferson, OR, Roger (Zetia) Bradley of Phoenix, AZ, Cheryl (Dave) Dolan of Gilchrist, OR, Judy (Todd) Drake of Happy Camp, CA, and Laura (John) Wostenberg of Montague, CA.

She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, Paul Hancock, Ted Bragg, Charlie Miller, Billy Bradley, Nina Bradley, Charles Bradley, Cody Bradley, Anna Sondenaa, Nicole Sabin, Kelly Cramer, Max Cramer, Jennifer Gregg, Kristi Wyatt, Emily Wostenberg, and Andrea Wostenberg, and 16 Great-grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Lynn Joseph Alexander who passed away in May of 2011. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons Michael Scott Hancock and Shane Buckley.

No services are planned. In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097.
