Theodore "Ted" Hill
(August 11, 1919 - December 27, 2011)
Ted was born August 11, 1919 in Zion, Illinois to Henry and Minnie Hill. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. After his discharge from the army, Ted moved to Yreka, where he founded a metal fabrication company that became Nor-Cal Products. The company originally manufactured milking machines, but the company grew under Ted's guidance into a world renown company. Ted moved to the Sacramento area after his retirement. His favorite hobby was "boating, boating and boating." Ted is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pat Hill; two stepchildren, Craig J. Whitaker of Rocklin and Brandy Whitaker of Sacramento; a sister, Marge Benson of Georgia; and two grandchildren, Dalla Whitaker of Medford and Brendyn Whitaker of Rocklin. Ted was preceded in death by his son, Craig Hill; his daughter, Hollis Chambers; a sister, Ester Helman; and two brothers, John Wolcott and Jimmy Potter. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1001W. Miner Street in Yreka. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
