Carrie Lee Morgan
(May 21, 1942 - February 2, 2012)
On Thursday, February 2, 2012, Carrie Lee Morgan went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 69. She passed peacefully at Madrone Hospice in the company of her family.
Carrie was born in Inglewood, California on May 21, 1942 to Lee and Fern Mushett. They moved to Greenview, California in 1946 when she was 4 years old. She attended Greenview Elementary, then Etna High School for three years before moving to Yreka where she attended her senior year. After High School she married Alvis Callick and had four children, Cindy, David, and twins Tracy and Trudy. They moved down the Klamath River where they made their home in 1966. In 1974 a tragic accident took the life of her husband, leaving her with four children. Later she married Wesley Morgan and had two sons, Scott and James. She attended Horse Creek Community Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She also worked as a teachers aide at the Klamath River Union Elementary School. She was also active in 4-H as a leader and a teacher. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Morgan, and their eleven children: Marcia Morgan, Wiley Morgan, Joyce Haney, Wendy Callick, Cindy Lucas, David Callick, Tracy Callick, Trudy Rainey, Sean Morgan, Scott Morgan and James Morgan. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a brother Jim Mushett and his wife Harriet, a sister-in-law Sharon Desavedo, four aunts, one uncle and numerous nephews, nieces and foster children. Carrie will be truly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service celebrating her life was held at the Horse Creek Community Church on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 3:00 PM.
