Jerry Charles Dillen passed away on January 31, 2012 at his home in Lake Shastina. He was surrounded by family and close friends.

Jerry was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on November 14, 1940. Jerry spent the majority of his life in Shasta and Siskiyou counties. He graduated from Yreka High School in 1959.

Jerry, an entrepreneur, owned several businesses in each county. He owned Hy Way Groceries in Yreka for several years as well as Dillen Distributing and Carpet Mart in Redding, Ca.

For the last 15 years Jerry resided in Lake Shastina. His heart and soul was in helping make Lake Shastina a better community for all. He served on the Lake Shastina Property Owners Association as a board member and as president. His passion was to see the walking trails around this community be developed for all to enjoy. He loved golf, travelling, and spending time with his family as well as attending his grandchildren’s activities. He also loved remodeling and building homes. He helped build three in Lake Shastina.

Jerry is survived by his wife Linda as well as his two children Audrey Bowley of Jacksonville, Ore and Craig Dillen of Ashland, Ore. He has two step children Brad Pease of Medford, Ore. and Tami Schneider of Medford, Ore. He also has eight grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Lake Shastina Golf Course located at 5925 Country Club Dr. Lake Shastina on Saturday February 18th at 2p.m.
