Gregson Dwaine Lawrence passed away in the early morning hours on Feb. 4, 2012, at the age of 82.

Dwaine was born in Long Beach, Calif. on Feb. 11, 1929. He served in the United States Navy from 1946-48. Dwaine went on to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California. While in pharmacy school, he met his future wife, Lenora, and they married in Glendale, Calif. on March 23, 1953. Dwaine went on to join the faculty of the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. He continued his education, earning a master's degree in psychology and a master's degree in business administration. After 35-plus years, he retired a Professor of Pharmacy from USC, and moved to live on his ranch in Montague with his wife. Dwaine was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by Lenora Lawrence, his loving wife of almost 59 years, his son John Lawrence, his daughter Teresa Underwood, his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Jacquelynn Lawrence, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Janice Link. He is also survived by the following nephews, nieces and relatives: Gary and Melody Lawrence, Lori Lawrence and Nicolas Lawrence; Marty, Patricia, Melissa and Katie Baumann; and Steve, Billy, Chris and Jennifer Link.

The family and friends of Dwaine will have a gathering to celebrate Dwaine's life at 4 p.m. this Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at the Yreka Elks Lodge.
