James "Jay" Edward Facey, 84 year-old long time Etna resident, passed away on February 10, 2012 in Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka.

Jay was born on January 24, 1928 in Scott Valley to Paul and Jean Facey. He worked as a Millworker in the Lumber Industry for thirty seven years. Jay was married to his High School sweetheart Grace in Reno, NV on April 26, 1987. He loved fishing and hunting. The couple would go to Eagle Lake every Memorial Day weekend for many years.

In addition to Jay's wife, Grace Facey of Etna, survivors include a brother, Melvin Facey of McCloud; and a sister, Stella Jensen of Lodi.

No services are planned. Girdner Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
