Charles Brian Linfoot

Charles Brian Linfoot was born on Sept. 6, 1976 Medford, OR., and was tragically lost to us in a motorcycle accident Aug. 11, 2011 at the young age of 34 years old. Raised in Scott Bar and Klamath River, California he was well known and liked by the entire community. Charlie will be greatly missed by his parents Charles and Valerie Linfoot and Dianne and Allan Okita. Charlie was first married to Joann Linfoot with whom he had three beautiful children: Christine Marie, age 13; Madison Rose, age 8; and Ethan Maxwell, age 3. He was a wonderful father who loved his children more than anything. Charlie is survived by his second wife, Amy Linfoot. whom he greatly loved and his step- children Hannah and Jacob King. Charlie was the love of Amy’s life and she doesn’t know what she is going to do without him. Upon graduating from Yreka High School in 1995, he worked in the logging industry. Charlie enjoyed working with his hands and had the reputation of being a hard worker. When Charlie wasn’t working at his day job he had many customers for whom he cut firewood for. He also worked at Crystal Geyser and Les Schwab Tires. Charlie was a generous spirit who will leave a huge void in many lives, and be greatly missed by all who knew him. Charlie would help anyone that asked for assistance, including the occasional stranded motorist along the side of the road. Charlie’s escape was woodcutting, camping, hunting, fishing, being with his children and his love of the outdoors. He loved to go to the coast with his family; loved working on his trucks, and going mud bogging. Charlie had an amazing sense of humor and enjoyed making everyone laugh. Charlie is survived by his brothers, Craig Linfoot of Ione, CA and Nick Linfoot of Yreka, CA; sisters, Angela Taylor of Anaheim Hills, CA, Melanie Okita, of Katy, TX and Katie Okita of Brookshire TX; grandmothers, Marilyn Linfoot of Klamath River, CA, Jacqueline Reid of Yreka, CA and Betty Richards of The Woodlands, TX; uncle, James Linfoot (Patricia Linfoot) of Rio Rancho, NM; his aunts, Debbie Shearer (John Shearer) of Castaic, CA, Julie Hancock (Wayne Hancock) of Cave Junction, OR, Jennifer Johnson(Walter Johnson) of Seiad Valley, Debra Kelly of Ojai, CA, and Cheryl Davis of Northridge, CA. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Linfoot and David Richards, and his uncle, Gary Linfoot. Charlie also left many friends behind and other family who all loved him greatly. Family and Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Charlie’s life on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. with a potluck reception to follow at Klamath River Community Hall in Klamath River, CA.
