Donna Louise Crawford

Donna Louise Crawford passed away peacefully April 30 in the year of our Lord, 2025. She was born to Ertie Elijah And Virginia Lee Libbee March 13, 1947 in Chico, CA. She was the eldest of 4 children. Linda Pilcher (preceded by her in death), Cathy Bullentini of Reno, NV, and David Libbee of Eupora, MI. She attended McManus Elementary, Bidwell Junior, and Chico High School in Chico, CA. Donna had wanted to be a geologist but she found her true love in Donald Lee Crawford and the two of them married August 1, 1964. Although she was married at the time of her senior year, she made a promise to her dad that she would graduate and she kept that promise, graduating from Fall River High in 1964. They lived in Chico, Petaluma, Redding, Susanville, Beiber, Pittville and Hat Creek before moving to Yreka in 1972. They settled in Montague and raised their three children. Donnie Crawford of Yreka, Deedee (Duane) Davis of Grenada, and Diana (Brad) McFarlane of Wenatchee, WA. She adored her 11 grand and 15 great grandchildren. Each of them a blessing, bringing her great joy. Shortly after moving to Montague she began working for the Montague Post Office, first as a Star Route Substitute carrier then a Rural Route Carrier. She loved the people she met on her routes. She trained many other carriers over the years who became friends. She retired from service after 29 years in Montague. She loved the area she and Don made their home. Traveling to visit family and friends while learning of new places was something she enjoyed very much. The coast was a favorite place to visit. She belonged to the First Southern Baptist Church and would serve in many capacities there making friendships she cherished. She directed the Montague Variety Show for 9 years. She was a member of PTA, Welcome Wagon, Terrific Truckers Association, Royal Neighbors, VFW Auxiliary Post #1555, Avon and Amway. She was preceded by her husband in death. Donna had confidence in the knowledge she would join Don in Heaven in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family would like to thank Catalyst Neuromedical Center (Dr Karen Garnaas) of Redding for their kind care of Donna as well as The ALS association and Madrone Hospice.
