Joan Lee Eoff

Joan Lee Eoff left her earthly home in the early morning hours of September 6, 2021 after a short stay at Madrone Hospice House in Yreka. She entered her heavenly home with a sweet smile on her face and is now resting peacefully in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Joan was born June 12, 1932 in Bakersfield to Benjamin and Neva Fieldgrove. She was one of 8 children. She attended Bakersfield High School where she met her future husband, William Eoff. They were sweethearts all through high school and were married a few short months after her graduation in 1950. They welcomed their first daughter while still in Bakersfield and then they moved to Siskiyou County, or what Joan referred to as the wild, wild West. They lived in Dunsmuir, Mount Shasta, and Yreka where they raised their three daughters. In 1996 they relocated to Medford, Oregon but returned to Yreka in 2016 to be closer to family. Joan was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She bowled in the women's bowling league for many years in Mt Shasta, Weed, and Yreka, and even enjoyed Wii Bowling in her later years. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible. She was an avid fan of all her grandchildren and didn't miss many of their events. Everything from basketball, baseball, soccer, football, downhill ski racing, stock car racing and everything in between. She was their biggest fan and could be heard in the stands cheering them on or heckling the referees or umpires or other officials if she didn't like a call! Joan was preceded in death by her husband, William R Eoff and her parents, Benjamin and Neva Fieldgrove. Joan is survived by her three daughters: Karen (Richard) English, Gail (Michael) Colt, and Sheri Casson; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Thank you to Siskiyou Springs for the loving care given to Joan for the past few years. A special thank you also to Madrone Hospice for their exceptional care at the end of her life. We appreciated each and everyone of you for all you did for her. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
