Karolyn K Singleton

Chi-Sai passed away on June 2, 2026, after a short illness. She was born on August 20, 1941, in Clearwater, Nebraska. She lived a full life filled with kindness and laughter. In her younger years, she was a Navy brat and lived in several countries with her family. She attended schools in Guam, San Diego, Japan (where she received her nickname Chi-Sai), Alaska, and her senior year of high school in Brunswick, Georgia. After school, she moved to Southern California, where she started her family. As Chi-Sai had already experienced the wanderlust of travel developed in her formative years, she then moved to Northern California to be closer to family. She worked as a manicurist, for Century 21 and in several local restaurants, as well as co-owner of the Shoetique. She embodied the spirit of community service and dedication, keeping herself busy volunteering at Fairchild Medical Center. And for the last several years, you could see her smiling face at the Rescue Ranch Thrift Shop. Delighting in the simple joys of life - she loved dancing, family gatherings, fishing, and the family's traditional Father's Day camping trip. Her adventurous spirit occasionally led her to enjoy a little bit of gambling, where she embraced the thrill of the unknown with a twinkle in her eye. Chi-Sai is survived by her devoted husband Ross Singleton of 35 years and their four children. Eddie Wilson, Keith Wilson (Jodi), Cindy Henderson (Destry), and Bill Singleton. Along with eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Shanna Wilson, Krista Wilson, Kassie Wilson, Kristopher Wilson, Tyler Korber, Caitlin Taylor, Colton Taylor, Isak Singleton, Kyson Wilson, and Skyler Ryan. Chi- Sai was also survived by her siblings, who were her lifelong companions and confidants: Patty Jo Reed, Rickie Irwin, Mickie Dressler, and Vickie Reed. She was also touched by numerous nieces and nephews, who added joy and laughter to her life. Her loving parents, Joyce and Eddie Irwin, preceded her in death. As we remember her, we are reminded of her love and vibrant spirit that touched everyone she met. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and the joy of living life to the fullest.
