Yvonne J. Lee

On the evening of August 1st, 2019 Yvonne Davis Lee passed away at Madrone House Hospice in Yreka from complications of dementia. She was born on August, 22nd 1937 in Weed, the youngest of three children to Wendell H. & Della Davis. They lived in Crescent City, Hawkinsville and eventually Yreka. She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and of the fact that she spent her entire adult life as a native of Siskiyou County. She graduated from Yreka High School in 1955 where she played the clarinet in the marching band and enjoyed playing the piano. In her teenage years she worked at The Big Dipper in Yreka. At YHS she met and married James F. Kutzer and they had three children together, Renee, Jimmy and Jeffrey. Early in her married life Yvonne was a stay at home mom and never missed any of the kids sporting events and games over all the years and was an avid fan of the kid’s sports. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a "Second Mother" to many of the kids friends, many of which had said "Your Mom is the most beautiful lady ever". And she was! She later worked for Dr. Bayuk as his office manager and eventually would work for the Siskiyou County Public Health department with Dr. Bayuk for over 10 years. In 1980 she met and married the love of her life Earl K. Lee and they would spend months at a time in Hawaii, mainly at her very favorite place on earth, Kaanapali Beach, Maui and doing her favorite thing beach walking and whale watching. She also enjoyed watching professional tennis. Yvonne's home was always the best place to celebrate the holidays with her family. She was a heart transplant recipient of 19 years and enjoyed many bonus years of quality life thereafter. She was a tough little fighter and a beautiful and kind woman also known as "Mighty Mouse". Yvonne is survived by her husband of 39 years Earl K. Lee, her daughter Renee J. Hetrick, sons James M. Kutzer (Kathy) and Jeffrey W. Kutzer (Tanya Trolinder) as well as grandchildren Katie Kutzer, Jimmy Kutzer, Lauren Lynch, Michael Hetrick, Gabriel Hetrick and Sarah Nixon and great grandchildren Gracie, Andrew and Levi, all of whom she loved so much. She was pre deceased by her parents Wendell & Della Davis, her brother Wayne Davis and sister Dolores Messer. Per her request there will be no services. Donations may be sent in her name to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097. “Longing for hot gold sand and turquoise water”
