Katrina Leigh Eblen

Katrina Leigh Eblen, 24, mother of four, passed away unexpectedly on Oct 4, 2017, in Montague. Visitation and viewing will be held at Girdner Funeral Chapel on Monday, Oct 23, 2017, from 4-6pm. It will be open casket and open to the public. After the viewing, she will be cremated, per her wishes. A Memorial Service will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday, Oct 25, from 4pm to approximately 5:30pm. Katrina was born in Beaumont, TX on February 26, 1993 and moved to Siskiyou County with her family in Sept 2005. She and her family were evacuees from Hurricane Rita who decided to make Yreka their home. She was a student at Discovery High School in Yreka as well as Jefferson High School in Mt Shasta, where she met her future husband, Donald R Loader III, also known as Ricky. They had two children in their marriage, twin girls named Nevaeh Rose and Ava Marie. They divorced a few years later. Single mother of two at the time, she met Jere Ramey in Yreka, and they had two children, another set of twins named Elias Valentine and Delilah Mae. They were engaged, unfortunately however, it was not to last. Katrina was a hard worker, having worked as many as 3 jobs at once to support her children and buy them a home. All her coworkers at Walmart, Carl's Jr and other establishments referred to her as a sweet girl with an infectious smile and a true customer service person. Her long term goal was to be a Peace Officer and she had started college for that purpose. Her children were her heart and soul and she always referred to herself as a blessed mother. Her friends were her family extended and she helped anyone who needed help, whether it was a shoulder to just cry on or putting a roof over their head. She was very loved by all that knew her. She was selfless and loving. She enjoyed hosting parties and dinners in her home, decorating for the holidays, and doting on her children. Everything she did was based on them and their happiness. They were her inspiration and her dedication to them was unmatched. Katrina is survived by her children: Nevaeh Rose (6), Ava Marie (6), Elias Valentine (16mos) and Delilah Mae (16mos). She is also survived by her mother, Christine Eblen of Yreka; her stepfather, Robert Bellairs of Yreka; her father David Eblen, from Indiana; grandmother Karin White, from Yreka; grandfather Richard Eblen of Westlake, Louisiana; Steven White, of Yreka; cousin Emma White, of Yreka; brother Tommy Armstrong, from Yreka; Sister-in-Law Brittany Branson from Yreka, niece Zoe' Armstrong, from Yreka; sister Hillary Hanks, from Vidor, Texas; Brother-in-Law Keith Hanks Jr, from Vidor, Texas; niece Hayleigh Hanks, of Vidor, Texas; nephew Tre' Hanks from Vidor, Texas; sister Miranda Eblen of Yreka and nephew Johnathan Eblen from Yreka; sister Crystal Fraley and family from Louisiana; brother Brandon Berry and family from Georgia; and brother Keith Eblen and family, from Vidor, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John W White, of Vidor, Texas; great grandmother Irene Nereaux, from Westlake, Lousiana; great grandmother Hildegard Hornoff, of Mainz, Germany; and grandmother Loretta Eblen, of Westlake, Louisiana. Flowers will be accepted by Girdner Funeral Chapel in Katrina's name. If you wish to make a donation, they will be accepted by Christine Eblen, her mother.
