Tamra Kay Rivallier

Our wonderful daughter, Tamra, age 43, passed away at Meyer’s Memorial Rehabilitation facility on June 4, 2015 after a two and half year battle with ovarian cancer. She had an amazing mind that could remember so much and was an artist with cross-stitch and Iris folding. She loved to watch the stars, listen to music, ride balloons and read fan fiction on the computer. She was a very fast reader and when asked, could give you an answer on many different subjects. Tamra was a deep thinker. Tamra was born in Medford, Oregon and lived in Fort Jones all of her life. She graduated form Etna High School in 1989 and was a graduate of College of the Siskiyous. She also attended College of the Redwoods, graduating with a Drafting Technology Certificate. She went back to College of the Siskiyous, receiving a Certificate of Business/Office Assistant. Before her illness she was active in the College of the Siskiyous band, was financial secretary of her church, was in a Bible Study group and had a large group of twitter friends. She ran her own business as a cat and dog sitter and created beautiful Iris folding greeting cards which she sold at The Fort Jones Christmas Parade and local craft fairs. Tamra is survived by her mother, Harriet, of Fort Jones and father, Frank, of Florence, Oregon, Uncle Bob and Aunt Sue Neathamer and cousins Mark, Cael, and families of Medford, Oregon; cousin Cory and wife Laura of Oak Park, CA; Uncle Richard and Aunt Laura Kirk and cousins Deanna Kirk-Adams and Bronson Kirk-Rivallier and families, plus many friends and her cat, Brat Cat. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Fort Jones Cemetery at10:00 AM on Saturday, July 18th with a reception/luncheon following at the Fort Jones Masonic Hall. This will be a time to share your memories of Tamra. Please write them down so they can be put into a memory book. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Intermountain Hospice P.O. Box 459, Fall River Mills, CA 96028, Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097, Fort Jones United Methodist Church, Teddy Bears for Kids through the Sheriff’s Department or a charity of your choice.
