Our son died in a car accident. It was such a shock and mind numbing event. Rob Girdner and his staff were kind and gentle and very helpful guiding us through the care of our son. I knew I could call and email as much as I needed. The day of picking up our son was so emotional and Rob was comforting and professional. A couple of weeks later I received communication from Girdners checking on our family and offering support in other areas.

It would be easy for Girdners Funeral Chapel to treat you like they are the only game in town. Rob and his family treated and cared for us with wonderful compassion and great dignity! As if they were competing with 10 other funeral chapel in a town of 7000. They have a very kind and gracious way of taking care of everything, relieving us of all the concerns of a funeral, allowing us free your access to our grief. Four generations of Girdner’s… And it not only shows, but it shines! Yreka is definitely better because of their presence.

My family has known the Girdners for generations. All born and raised in the same area. When the time comes to use the Family Business its never fun. Everyone knows Girdners is the end of life and time to say Goodbye. They came and took my father from his bed with such respect. It was impressive!! Even when you expect it, death is always a shock and this family business is unmatched when it comes to making things as easy as possible. I will never be able to thank them enough for the making our experience as painless as possible.

Gregg and Caitlin were so nice and caring to us during our time of sorrow. Girdner's provided the perfect combination of care, concern, and lightness that we needed during a difficult time. They were extremely efficient and still very warm while answering all of our questions and shepherded us through the process. They checked up on us during our time of need and have continued to do so even after the process. Such a wonderful experience.

I Can't Say Enough About Gregg And His Staff, They Have Pretty Much Taken Care Of Hole Family Over The Years. From Day One They Where Very Very Helpful With Getting Me Through This Rough Time. Over The Few Days It Took To Make It Through Everything Even If I Asked The Samething Over And Over He Would Walk Me Through It. At the very difficult time of my father's passing, Girdner was there for our family. Gregg has a true gift for providing comfort while making sure every detail was arranged with care. From getting the U.S. Army honor guard to the live playing of Taps to Dad's cowboy boots being shined up, Gregg made it as easy as possible for us. We truly appreciate all the help and care given to Dad and to us.

We were from out of town and Rob went the extra mile to obtain my son's death certificates as soon as possible which allowed us to take care of all final business before the weekend and get back home when the weather window opened up. In a time of loss, Girdner took the reins and made sure necessary arrangements were made. Thankfully, my participation was kept at a minimum to accomplish all that needed to be done. I was always met with a friendly response and when I was returning calls, they knew just who to direct me to. Everything was handled with directness and efficiency and I was grateful that the experience didn’t take an additional toll on me during a difficult time. They even reached out with resources following my Mom’s death to make sure I was alright. Much appreciated, thank you.

Our son who was 21 months died of leukemia in November and Girdners helped us with our arrangements. 19 days later they helped us with my mother in law who had suddenly passed away. They were the most loving and caring people I have ever met in my life they did everything that we asked and made our sons memorial amazing and they gave us the time we needed with my mother in law. Girdners you are now a part of our family. Thank you for everything that you have done for us.
